The Structure of a QuizPort Activity

structure of a quizportA single QuizPort activity consists of an optional entry page, a unit of interactive quizzes and an optional exit page.

The entry page is an optional page that is shown to students before they attempt any quizzes. This page is typically used to give an overview of the unit, to explain details of the scoring and to highlight start and end dates. The entry page may also show a list of previous attempts, as well as a button to start a new unit attempt.

Each quiz may be a static web page or an interactive web page which offers students text, audio and visual prompts and records their responses. The quizzes are created on the teacher's computer using authoring software and then uploaded to Moodle. The collection of the quizzes is referred to as a unit.

The exit page is an optional page that is shown at the end of a unit. It typically gives some kind of encouragement and feedback, and offers links to return to the course page or go on to another Moodle activty.

Both the entry page and exit page can contain some static text supplied by the teacher and some items which are automatically generated by the QuizPort module. The display of these pages and the text and items that appear on them can be controlled using the settings on the pages to add and update a QuizPort activity.
